A restoration narrative of a Wooden 1969 Grand Banks Trawler Yacht, hull #125 of more than 1500 GB 42 Classics. Replacement of All Plywood on Superstructire, Epoxying and Fiberglassing in it's entire vertical components. Adding New Doors, Hatches and Windows/frames. Setting the boat up for a circumnavigation of the Great Loop and Carribean after Fall 2008.
Planning to Replace all new plywood, and then fiberglass over it. We will not go back with lots of high maintenance teak trim. We are reducing all the lines to a minimum to allow for a smooth FG job and great drainage and paint adhesion. This is a real project.
